I brought my dog in for a dental cleaning after providing prior veterinary records documenting dental disease with likely need for extractions based on prior X-rays. This is where I should have been referred to a vet that was equipped to actually help us. Unfortunately, I wasn’t. This clinic decided to move forward with the service anyway. Before the procedure, I was not informed that this clinic does not perform dental X-rays or extractions. This is a significant limitation, as evaluation without imaging is restricted to external appearance and does not allow assessment of disease below the gum line. The procedure performed was a dental cleaning only. No X-rays were taken and no extractions were performed. After the visit, when I expressed concern, I was told the teeth appeared normal externally and no infection was identified. Within a few days, my dog’s symptoms returned, indicating the underlying condition had not been addressed. I have since been advised to pursue a comprehensive dental evaluation with imaging and likely extractions through another provider, requiring my dog to undergo anesthesia again. I attempted to resolve this directly with the clinic, but this practice took zero accountability. I couldn’t even have a reasonable conversation with the veterinarian. Pet owners should do their due diligence when selecting a vet. Based on my experience, this clinic does not have your pet’s best interests at heart. If they did, they would have referred us to a provider with the proper imaging and capability to address the issue. Instead, they proceeded with a service that could not resolve my dog’s condition. Avoid this vet.

There are many things wrong with this hospital. Animals are mistreated, management is unprofessional and rude, and the overall environment is stale. Very overpriced for poor service.

The initial person I saw was very nice, everyone else I felt were somewhat rude. I was ten minutes late, but when I called to check in the receptionist was being sharky. She said since I was late it will take longer, although the parking lot was empty, and so was the waiting room once I got in about 15 minutes after calling. The doctor was very short and quick, the person who went over the charges had added $500+ extra of possible things I could get done. I felt like it was unnecessary since I went in there for one thing, she asked two additional times about a specific thing it was very annoying. Also to call a maybe two-minute exam a "comprehensive physical exam" and charging almost $100 is crazy to me, I have felt a lump on her stomach, and no one noticed any on her. I take my other pet to Chittenango animal hospital, only went here because it was close and quick but will be sticking with Chittenango from now on. They are so friendly and actually take their time with pets, here it seems they want you in and out for as much money as possible.
